Perfect OB Wheel IPA App Version 18
Perfect OB Wheel IPA App Version 18
Description
You have several options for the iPhone; here's why Perfect OB Wheel is your best choice of gestational calculator:

1) Input flexibility: Start with one of:
• Last menstrual period (LMP)
• Conception date
• Estimated date of confinement/delivery (EDC)
• Ultrasound dating: Number of weeks and days gestation as of a given date (X Weeks).

2) Input speed: Other wheels for the iPhone make you conform to them for entering your patient's information. Why not be able to choose based on how you are holding the phone and what else you are doing at the same time?
• Use the numeric entry pad (0 3 3 0 2 0 0 8) and immediately see the results, OR
• Spin the date wheel at the bottom of the screen and tap Next.

3) Thorough results: All the information you would expect from a classic wheel, plus more:
• Estimated Due Date
• LMP Date
• Conception Date
• 1st Trimester End Date
• 2nd Trimester End Date
• Gestational Age
• Conceptional Age
• Expected Fetal Length based on standard fetal growth curves
• Expected Fetal Weight based on standard fetal growth curves ("How much does my baby weigh, doctor?")

Results are relative to 'today' by default; this can be quickly changed to reflect any date by tapping the 'today' button and selecting a new date.

4) Accurate results: Perfect OB Wheel provides exact dates and accounts for all calendar variance, including leap years.

5) Persistence: Perfect OB Wheel remembers the date and date type you last used and restores them when launched to streamline your workflow.

Diabetophone IPA 1.0

Diabetophone IPA 1.0
Diabetophone IPA 1.0
Description
Important information is immediately available. Blood sugar levels and insulin doses are displayed in graphical form. The estimated insulin action is displayed after the dose has been entered, which ensures that you always have an overview of your current status.

The events of the last 15 days can be displayed as a graphic or in text form. You can define the ideal range for your blood sugar levels. A pie chart is used to show what percentage of your measurements is inside or outside this range. An estimate of your average blood sugar level and the corresponding level of hemoglobin A1c (in % or mmol/mol) can also be displayed. Note: Entering several measurements over a short period, such as during a hypoglycemic attack, will not have a negative effect on the calculated average.

Using the app:

- Data can be entered quickly and easily using a keypad. The app identifies automatically whether a newly entered figure is a blood sugar measurement or an insulin dose. The date and time are saved automatically. The figures can be modified or deleted at any time.
- To see an overview, simply turn your iPhone or iPod touch on its side and the graphic will appear on the display. Move your finger over the graphic to see the information for previous days. Use two fingers to adjust the scale. The red dots represent the blood sugar levels and the blue bars the insulin doses. The tip of the triangle indicates the insulin peak time and the base of the triangle the entire insulin action time. The yellow line shows the current time.
- Insulin figures can also be entered with a decimal point (which is useful if you are using an insulin pump that also administers half units).

Blood sugar figures can be entered in mg/dL and mmol/L.
The estimated insulin action applies to fast-acting insulins (Apidra®, NovoLog®, NovoRapid®, Humalog® etc.).

Functions:

1. Log containing figures for the last fifteen days
2. Graphical representation of blood sugar levels in relation to time and insulin action
3. Blood sugar levels in mg/dL or mmol/L
4. Adjustable ideal range for blood sugar levels with results shown in pie chart form
5. Estimated average blood sugar level and corresponding hemoglobin A1c level

A2Z Of Immediate Care IPA 1.0

A2Z Of Immediate Care IPA 1.0
A2Z Of Immediate Care IPA 1.0
Description
99% of hospital patients become ill OUTSIDE hospital. This book explains the roles and skills of the emergency services that help get them to the right hospital having had the right treatment on the way there…that includes YOU!

We want to make you look afresh at both your own role and skills, and those of the other memebers of your pre-hospital team, whether you are a health (hospital or pre-hospital) or other emergency or voluntary service worker.

We are both full time GPs who work in Immediate Care. Over the years we have heard endless Pearls of Wisdom from more experienced folk (and quite a lot of rubbish). We decided to try and share these - your experience could stem from learning about other people's mistakes rather than your own!

Although every incident is different, general principles do apply. We hope that this app will give you the equivalent of the London Cabbies The Knowledge.

We do not feel that Medical, Ambulance or Nurse training and subsequent widespread experience can, or should be, covered by a book of simple one-liners. Do the groundwork....

Everything you wanted to know about pre-hospital care but nobody tells you - we have aimed to give useful attitudes, tips and relevant anecdotes and deliberately avoided the evidence-based approach. There are lots of brighter authors, bigger books, and more up to date guidelines and journals.

Our contributors are acknowledged in the app – the one liners are mainly theirs, and any misquotes are mainly ours....

Dr Graeme Spencer and Dr Vicki Gilmore

Ayurvedic Treatment IPA 1.0

Ayurvedic Treatment IPA 1.0
Ayurvedic Treatment IPA 1.0
Description

In this Application we describe the common disease and corresponding treatments of Ayurveda. Ayurveda treats not just the ailment but the whole person and emphasizes prevention of disease to avoid the need for cure.It is to remove the root cause and give permanent relief. There are four main classifications of management of disease in Ayurveda: shodan, or cleansing; shaman or palliation; rasayana, or rejuvenation; and satvajaya, or mental hygiene. The treatment mainly comprises of powders, tablets, decoctions, medicated oils etc. prepared from natural herbs, plants and minerals. Because the medicines are from natural sources and not synthetic, they are accepted and assimilated in the body without creating any side effects and on the other hand, there may be some side benefits.Along with medicine, proper diet, exercise and living style is also advised. This is equally important. If we are taking a medicine to remove the root cause and at the same time we are taking some food or following a life style which is increasing the cause of disease, then we may not get well or will be getting less relief.
